Saint Mary's Glacier

This weekend we ventured up to the high country to visit Saint Mary's Glacier near Idaho Springs, Colorado. It was a beautiful hike and very short (only 3/4 of a mile!) We love the mountains...hopefully one day we will live in above 10,000 feet!

On our way up the mountain, there were tons of people with skis on their backs...ready to make some mid-summer turns on the glacier.

I got a brand new pair of rainbows today. It was heartbreaking to part with my 4-year old, well-loved pair, but I can't wait to break these new ones in. I did end up sending my old ones back to the factory to see if there is anything they could do for them.

My new ones are oh-so pretty.

The Relatives are Coming!

Andy's parents are staying with us for a few weeks. I am going out of town next, and they have offered to watch Blake while Andy is at work. We love when the Dunn's come because we enjoy their company, but we really enjoy the fact that they always bring seafood. Crab, clams, mussels, and oysters...fresh seafood is such a treat when you live in a landlocked state. This trip, they also came bearing luscious lemons to go with all the seafood.

Weekend Worriers

We finally got tired of being the "worst yard in town" so we did some landscaping this weekend. We dug, and edged, and planted, and found big rocks, and got sunburned, and bit by mosquitoes...but we had lots of fun and are thrilled by the outcome. We hope the rest of our weeds die off so we can put some grass seed down. The yard was in shambles when we bought the house in 2005...we hope to turn it around before we move on...we'll see.

Things I love...

Toddler pigtails. I cannot believe B's hair is finally long enough to put in pigtails! I can't wait to be able to braid it. She looks so grown up with her hair like this...too bad she will only leave these in for a few minutes...just long enough for me to take a few pictures. Love you B.
